Pearce Global Partners (PGP) believes in "Education into Action". If people do not understand their risk, they will see no need to address or minimize it. The basis of understanding comes from using the best-available science and facts about the local hazard(s). Many times this information is not easily available, and more than likely, it is not easily understood.  PGP provides the transfer of technology to make information accessible, and therefore user-friendly.

"Education into Action" is the platform for mitigation, preparedness, response, recovery and prevention. PGP's partners include scientists, researchers, and technical experts as well as instructional, communication, and educational authorities.  By bringing our technical and educational partners together and combining them with our practitioners (with decades of experience in government and the private sector), we are building solutions specifically customized to your organization's needs.

Community Legacy® incorporates "Education into Action" as one of the building-blocks for long term sustainability in reducing a community or organization's vulnerability to disaster. After having a basis for understanding, the next step is to build partnerships that can create local strategies and solutions to increase safety.

PGP designs disaster-resistant solutions that cover all-hazards, all-phases of emergency management and business continuity. We build on best practices and share what we find, both in our outcomes as well as on this website.  PGP executives and partners are frequent speakers at events and conferences expressing the importance of public-
private partnerships, tried & true solutions, and how to drastically reduce exposures.

Background

Inés Pearce, Chief Executive of Pearce Global Partners, launched PGP with the dream of a disaster resistant world. Her vision is to increase each community's capacity to address their local hazards through developing partnerships, creating solutions and building/enhancing relationships. This vision is called Community Legacy®.  As no one sector of any community has all the resources necessary to fully minimize its risk, each sector must be tethered to the other in order that lives can be saved, property damage lessened, and economies protected.  Through shared information and the application of the best available science, PGP works with clients to create and develop best practices to enable "Education into Action".

In 1998, Inés Pearce became Director of Seattle Project Impact, a public-private partnership, that created four long-term and sustainable mitigation programs used throughout the Pacific Northwest, in the U.S. and around the world. PGP capitalizes not only on Ms. Pearce's experience but also on the combined expertise of her vast networks of dedicated professionals, implementing all best practices for each sector of the community.

By using these multidisciplinary partners, PGP's entire purpose is to build disaster resistance into everyday practices, creating a true Community Legacy® for generations to come.

"We are building safer communities together, not only for ourselves today but also for our children, and the generations to follow."
